...man, can't even believe I procrastinated 3 months to even start on this, anyway...
Summary:
Makoto was born into a lower class family and abandoned shortly afterward, and thus did not have a family name; or any name at all for that matter. His life on the streets of Kyoto made him what he was to become, and introduced him to his one truth in life: Wealth is Power. He then named himself Makoto, or "Truth," and set out to gain what had eluded him for years... (he's probably in his late 20s - early 30s at the time of SDL)
Style:
Makoto isn't really big on fights; however, if a prize is involved, his mind could change fairly easily. He isn't exceptionally strong, and he doesn't really have a formal fighting style either; but his weapon was designed to wound/kill an enemy rather quickly due to the hooks on the reverse side. Having been raised in the most destitute sections of the capital, he is never above stealing, or a dirty trick or two.

The coloring is wonderful, though the anatomy troubles me a bit. The legs, primarily.

i think this has a wonderful depth for the shading you did on this.

the anatomy is a bit off, but it's de-emphasized by how well you did the coloring

It's actually the entire left portion of his body (right side) and his right elbow (left side) is really low.

It's a compliment. He's saying you anatomy is noticed second to your coloring ability, so it doesn't stand out. Meaning you're a great colorist; I'd consider that a compliment.
